October is the breast cancer awareness month. What better way to show my appreciation, respect and support by creating an awesome looking pink awareness ribbon. I thought of topping it by creating a whole package containing the pink ribbon in various formats so it can be used for web, desktop and print. This package is FREE for personal and non-profit use. I appreciate any help spreading and using it wherever you can.

First off these icons have been created about 2 1/2 to 3 years ago and the screenshot shows only a small fraction of the icons created (about 500). The reason I added this entry is the duration of this project. It took me months to create all icons in all required formats and sizes for web and print.
The client asked me to create Windows XP like icons for his online shop and web presents, in several different sizes. The client also needed these icons for printing needs. I crated all icons in Adobe Illustrator. Combination icons needed to be exported. Specific graphics, containing these icons needed to be exported. Icon previews in several different sizes. It was a huge pile of work. The client responded almost instantly which was a big help and rerely seen in the business as a freelancer. I love to get things in and done as soon as possible. The challenge was to stay focused on this project since the creation of these icons within Adobe Illustrator was the smallest part. Exporting these icons in all various formats (ico, png, gif, jpg, eps, icns, pdf, and more) seemed like a never ending story. With projects of this time frame you develop somewhat of a tunnel vision and your work doesn't produce the desired results. The remedy that worked for me is to completely disconnect from this project for a view hours and do something completely different. Going to the gym, cleaning up the office, feed the office fishes, take a bike ride, etc. Basically everything that gets the mind distracted and has a relaxing effect along with it. Following a fractions of the icons I have created for this project about 3 years ago.

Once all was said and done the client was very happy about the result, all I care about!
