Axel Springer is one of the leading media enterprises in Europe. So it was quite an honor to be asked, if I would be interested in a position as a freelance graphic designer at Axel Springer Mediahouse. They said they would like to give me a small project assignment. Depending on how well I perform they would make a decision in regards of me being a fit for the company. One challenge was to deal with the time difference of 6 hours, since they are located in Germany and I am located in the U.S.A. It worked out well and the fact that I am working with clients all over the globe, helped quite a bit. Another nice fact is that I can brush up on my rusty German, which by the way, is my mother language. Yes it can get rusty if you do not use it very often.
Today I delivered the test project and they were very pleased with the results. It was a print project and some web flash advertisements. At this point I would like to express my appreciation to the Axel Springer Mediahouse for giving me this opportunity.
And now it is time to celebrate.

Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine asked if I would be interested in a Freelance position. They said they have seen some of my work and were interested in working together with me.
I agreed and am now a permanent Freelance Designer at Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine. This is obviously not a full time position so I will have plenty time to still take care of my regular and new clients.
Thank you Hal Goldstein for this opportunity.
